MeSept09Name: Jennifer

Nick name: niffer

N for Nifferiffer started this blog to share the chronicles of her new life living in the east bay and other adventures of living on the west coast. July 15, 2009, finally unable to ignore the beaconing of the west coast she picked up and moved to the west coast with her beloved feline companion Loralie. She was bound for parts unknown since before this trip she the farthest west she had traveled was Albuquerque New Mexico.

As usual this adventures dear devil through caution to the wind and put her faith in the fact that she has always landed on her feet and headed west. During her preparations for the journey she got the idea to chronicle her adventures along the way. She was starting a new chapter in her life and was fulfilling her promise to her self that she would make it to San Francisco for her 30th birthday. So a blog seemed like the best way to do it. That way the nay Sayers and nervous friends and family could be eased and she could also look back on her own personal history.

Our little dynamo is a Print and web designer originally from South Carolina. She’s true blue with offset ink running through her veins and pixelated dreams… She loves design. She spent the last 3 years in the Raleigh- Durham Chapel hill area of North Carolina. If were lucky she’ll put down all of her zany adventures across the US and parts of Europe from her earlier life as well.

Niffer received her BA in art studio Conceptual design from the University of South Carolina in 2002. She has sense applied it to many disciplines and collaborated with a few like minded artiest, technical folk, and marketing savvy peps.

She has now found the place that feels like “Home” in the world in San Francisco and the bay area. She is constantly finding creative inspiration on her personal urban hikes through the bay area. Miss Niff is currently pounding the pavement looking for a job to start building some capitol so that she can put her creative ideas to work.

Niffer was raised in her family’s small, high-volume offset/silkscreen print shop. She was born to be a commercial artist and can think of nothing that makes her more happy, accept living in California. Since she has moved to California she has found new inspiration to create art for her self as well as new ideas for future clients.

This little minx doesn’t like to be idol… no sir! In her spare time she reads up on her favorite subjects like history, arts, trade magazines, felines, coding books, vampires, and sci-fi. Add in sewing, knitting, jewelry making, and baking. Her other passions out side of design are tribal fusion belly dance, Argentinian tango, photography, and traveling. She loves spending time with her beloved kitten kid Loralie, spending time with her friends, and people watching.

She also uses her spare time to mine the internet for new music and inspiration. Has been known to jump out of a plain every once in a while. And in a quest to keep up with design trends, she can be found in any grocer, Target, or an equivalent roaming the aisles ogling product packaging, book covers, and advertisements. She take pictures of the things that inspire her the most with the iPhone she has grown attached too.

Another perk to moving to California is there is more insperation in the streets and a wider range of stores to roam.
